Description
This serologic assay measures IgG and IgA antibodies specific to Chlamydia pneumoniae in human serum. The presence of IgG indicates past exposure or prior infection, while elevated IgA may suggest recent or ongoing infection. Combined IgG/IgA serology may be used to support the assessment of acute, chronic, or past infection when interpreted in conjunction with clinical findings and other diagnostic studies.
