Description
Trypanosoma brucei causes African sleeping sickness, and T. cruzi causes Chagas disease. Infection occurs via tsetse fly bites (T. brucei) or triatomine bug contamination (T. cruzi), leading to systemic and potentially chronic disease.
This test detects IgG antibodies against Trypanosoma species, indicating exposure, and may be used to assist in diagnosis in the appropriate clinical and epidemiological context.
This test is carried out by ArminLabs, a DAKKs, CLIA, and CAP-certified laboratory in Germany. The shipping/courier cost of £50 (added at checkout) includes the DHL Medical Express packaging and paperwork for customs.
