Description

This test evaluates the levels of antistreptolysin O (ASO) in the blood. ASO is an antibody directed against streptolysin O, a toxin released by Group A Streptococcus bacteria (Streptococcus pyogenes).

This test is often ordered alongside Anti-DNase B. Anti-DNase B antibodies typically remain elevated longer than ASO and may remain elevated for several months after infection.

This test is carried out by ArminLabs, a DAKKs, CLIA, and CAP-certified laboratory in Germany. The shipping/courier cost of £50 (added at checkout) includes the DHL Medical Express packaging and paperwork for customs.

This test requires a blood draw.
The lab requires 1x serum (orange lid) sample for this test.

1x serum sample is usually sufficient for multiple tests requiring Serum.
Viability
