Description
IgG3 accounts for about 5–10% of total IgG in the blood.
IgG3 is highly effective in fighting protein antigens, similar to IgG1. It has a unique extended hinge region that allows for better flexibility in binding and forming immune complexes. This hinge also enhances IgG3’s ability to interact with complement, making it one of the strongest activators of the complement system.
IgG subclasses can also be ordered collectively: IgG subclasses (IgG1, IgG2, IgG3, IgG4)
