Description
Rheumatoid factors (RF) are autoantibodies that are directed against an altered Fc region of IgG antibodies. They can belong to all immunoglobulin classes. However, due to their high avidity, RF of the IgM class is primarily detected.
A test for CCP antibodies is also available.
