Description

Trichinella spiralis is a nematode responsible for trichinellosis, typically acquired by ingesting undercooked meat containing encysted larvae. Infection may cause gastrointestinal and systemic symptoms, including muscle pain and fever.

This test detects IgG antibodies specific to T. spiralis, indicating exposure and may be used to assist in the diagnosis of trichinellosis.
